Since the entire program of study is taught in English, Mandarin Chinese and Korean, and since the academic
program focuses on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), students of many ethnic back- grounds and from many
foreign countries are attracted to the school.
Applicants must show strong motivation, desire and commitment to service in the healing arts.
Students must be mature enough to look upon and make personal contact with people who may be ill, handicapped,
deformed or otherwise unwell.
Central College encourages enrollment in its degree program by qualified Western health care professionals who
wish to incorporate the theories, methods and techniques of Oriental Medicine into their own practices.
The College enrolls chiropractors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, physical therapists, psychologists,
and others. The interaction of these professionals with the Eastern trained faculty and students is an important asset
of the education and training at Central College .
We provide a professional environment where the training, experience and maturity of such persons are respected.
In return, our students and faculty benefit from the participation of such students in the classroom and clinic.
Central College hopes that by gathering this diverse student-faculty population studying together with common goals,
it can foster study and understanding of the common and unifying aspects of Oriental and Western health sciences.

Career Development

Currently, most practitioners of Oriental Medicine operate private practices, either alone, or in a group setting.
We are beginning to see some larger  medical institutions integrating holistic health services, and positions
occasionally become available.
While the Institute does not have a formal job placement program, we keep track of, and make available to
our students and alumni, any information concerning available positions, as well as people looking to expand
their private practice, such as massage therapists, chiropractors, or even medical doctors, to include providers
of Oriental medicine.
