Oriental Herbology Diploma Program
Herbology is the study of the major and individual herbal groups used in Oriental Medicine.
Various herbs and different preparation methods are vital in herbal medicine and prescriptions.
The Herbology program covers theory, purpose, preparation techniques, and formulas to successfully prescribe herbal remedies and heal various ailments.
Central College maintains a wide array of herbs in its pharmacy and dispensary. The herbal dispensary also maintains all necessary and requisite medical supplies for student instruction and patient needs. This is a minimum Three (3) academic year which is equivalent to six semester program. Since Central College Ontario Campus offers three semesters per year, this diploma program can be completed within 2 calendar years.
The minimum educational program length for Diploma of Herbology is 2136 hours, which includes the current CTCMA (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario) in Herbology raining requirements. Of the 2136 hours, which included 456 hours of minimum of clinical instruction is required for CTCMA licensing examination.
