(PCTIA,www.pctia.bc.ca) to provide quality educational programs leading to the award of Diplomas in Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Practitioner of Oriental Medicine, and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. PCTIA is the accreditation agency in British Columbia recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education in Canada. PCTIA protects current students and prospective students of registered institutions and to establish standards of quality that must be met by accredited institutions. Central College obtains student loan accreditation by the Ministry of Advanced Education, Student Aid of British Columbia. Central College was approved Pilot Program to College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners & Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA, www.ctcma.bc.ca). CTCMA is an official professional licensing authority established in 1996 by the Government of British Columbia, Canada to regulate the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture in the Province. The College is a self regulatory body that operates under the auspices of the Provincial Government and through the Health Professions Act the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists Regulation and Bylaws.
